What is Coaching?

The way I define Personal Coaching is “A structured relationship geared toward reaching the clients goals and personal growth.”

Coaching begins with in an Introduction Call which is an initial call where we will talk about your needs, goals, dreams, and what is getting in the way. It usually lasts around 30-45 minutes. I do these calls because it can be scary to start something new like coaching and it is a good chance for us to get to know a little about each other and to see if we think we will be a good fit. I do these initial calls at no cost. I want to make sure that we both feel comfortable moving forward, and that we are both ready to enter into a coaching relationship. 

After our introduction call I will spend some time developing a plan uniquely created for you. I don’t have “packages”, I have “plans”… and each one is different. Your specific needs will be listened to and accounted for. 

Please be assured, after our call I will know whether or not I think I can help. If I feel like you would be better served by someone with a different set of skills, I will refer you to them right away.

What you do.

I ask that each client be “all in”. This means that you are committed to our relationship and value it as I will. I ask that you take notes during our meetings and that you follow through on the action steps we will create at our meetings. I also ask that you come with questions you want to discuss, and a report, each meeting, on the progress that is being made toward your goals.

What I do.

When I choose to work with a client I will be available and committed to you. Each of my coaching client have access to my personal cell number and email. Each meeting I will come prepared to talk about your goals, and I will provide resources, insights, and direction.

What we do together.

We will create a strategy and plan that will be specifically designed to reach your personal growth goals. Each meeting we will check in about your goal, your progress, and your questions. We will work together. I often integrate wholistic interventions such as art, music, books, essential oils, and other techniques in order to bring clarity and awareness to the situation at hand.

Frequently asked Questions

How long do we work together?
Every person is so different, they each have different goals and different situations that create unique needs. After we meet together for our introduction phone call I will let you know in the proposal how long I believe we will be working together to reach your initial goals. I am always focused on your needs and the outcomes you are wanting. That being said. The initial contract that I do with the majority of my clients is 3 months. In my experience, committing to an initial 3 month time frame is the best way to start. At the end of the 3 months we will evaluate the next step.
Where do we meet?
Most of the time we will meet by phone or on a secure video call (Zoom). I also am available to my coaching clients through text and email. The coaching packages are created to include several different venues of connection. If you are local to me, or are willing to travel, I have a home office where I will periodically meet with clients. How and when we meet together is based on your needs.
Is it like counseling?
Unlike counseling, in a coaching relationship I will not assess, diagnose, or treat mental health disorders. I am focused on your strengths, goals, and moving forward toward wellness. However, some things about coaching can look and feel like counseling.

Coaching, like counseling, is completely confidential. I will never share with anyone the content of our conversations without your permission. We can talk about struggles you have in order to move toward resolution and wellness.

My favorite part about Coaching is that it is both of us working together toward a goal. I get to come alongside you and join you as you create an “Essentially Better Life”. Coaching is focused, structured, and requires action on my part, and your part to see change.

What is the investment?
Coaching is an investment in your future self. Investing in a better life is the best thing you can do for yourself and for the people you impact.

Coaching with me is structured and includes a program that I individually develop for each of my clients. It will be not only an investment of resources, but also an investment and sacrifice of time in order to fully take advantage of the growth that can and will happen.

INDIVIDUAL COACHING:

~ 90 minute initial session
~ Two 1-Hour Sessions per month
~ Between session support via email and texting
~ Monthly Journal Prompts
~ Worksheets and individual curriculum provided
~ Three month commitment

Investment:
3 payments: $550 per month
1 payment: $1500 ($150 savings)
